From the 'Weird Cat Files'.....

Who knows how a cats' mind works, anyway, right?  Here's the story.  EVERY TIME I go into the bathroom, I close the door...not to the point of the lock clicking...just to the point where it's closed.  I go to pee, and the cat starts pawing on the door.  OPENS the door by pushing on it with her paws (which is no small feat.  The cat is small...maybe weighs 4 lbs)..and comes in.  She kneads the carpet while I go, I flush...and she stops kneading and hops up on the step up stool.  I wash my hands and get a towel.  She meows.  I walk to the door.  She's right at my feet.  Open the door...I walk out, she walks out the other direction.  Happens EVERY time and she never seems to want anything...other than the fact that she cannot go into the bathroom unless I'm in there.  ?????????  I need a cat psychologist....ROFL

  1. <LOL> Both the cat AND the dog follow G into the bathroom everytime he goes.... They don't do it so much to me, although when I shower the cat sits outside and meows the whole time... I attribute that to having used a spray bottle to teach her not to do stuff when she was little... I think that she thinks I am in BIG trouble when I'm in the shower and she wants to know what I did... or maybe comfort me <bg>

  2. That is so funny~~~! I imagine perhaps she is thinking.. ok am I supposed to get all comfy here? I mean does she accompany you when you go to bed and perhaps she is associating this to quality time too or something.. if that just made any sense , I have no idea.. lol*

  4. Cats are either so much smarter than us, or so dumb they fool us, BUT, either way, they sure do some strange things. I haven't had a cat for ages, but when I did, I was constantly amazed at the way they seem to "know" much more than I. rich

  5. Hah!  Aren't cats strange creatures?  My cats' favorite hangout is the bathtub.  They refuse to drink fresh water from a bowl...they will only drink from the dripping faucet.  And every morning the three of us make a dash for the bathroom at the same time...why, I don't know!

  7. i have 4 cats and 2 of them love the tub.  i have a drip and the fat one drinks from it.  he comes out with a wet head.  the little one thinks my daughter is his mommy and he has to roll around in my tub whining.  i don't care what anyone says cats are too smart (and weird) for their one own good and ours.  i found you on another blog...nice to meet you.  roseg

  8. Well...I have heard they are a bit curious.  But every time, that is weird.  Must be that independent streak...or she just wanted you to write another entry in your journal about her.  They do love to be the center of adoration.~Dona
