WELL.  Pesky damned hurricane!  I guess Key West is off the agenda.  By the time we got there, there'd be evacuations in progress, and we'd just waste the dang gas.  Soooo, we're looking at Orlando instead.  Jesse asked if I wanted to go to the Arabian Nights Dinner ...... Yay!  I always want to go every time we go to Orlando but we're usually there for some other reason, so coolness....

The kids are all feeling well.  In fact, Alex is being the biggest pain in the butt today....so, he and Adrian are 'fighting'.  "My video game!  Nu uh...you got the other one!  I want that paper!  It's MY paper!  Moooooommm....MY pen!  Stop itttttt"

::sigh::

::Amy bangs her head repeatedly on the keyboard::

Oh well...until somebody's bleeding, I'll just pretend my hearing aid is off.  (I'm kidding - I don't wear a hearing aid.)

.........oh, something I want to ask in case this has happened to anyone else.  Lately, whenever I eat - anything - I feel nauseous.  Sick to my stomach.  Like I shouldn't have eaten at all.  Strange, methinks.  I'm not overeating, and what I'm eating is not grease laden or anything like that.  I had green beans for lunch, for pitys' sake!  But now - uchhh....  What in the world could be wrong?!  Crazy blood sugar, maybe?  Does this happen to anyone else?!

I'll conclude the entry by mentioning......that it's the 13 Nights of Halloween on ABC Family , and I can barely contain myself.  Yay!  Scariest Places on Earth is on tonight, baby!  You KNOW I'm planting my butt in front of the TV.  I freakin' LOVE that show!

  2. How long have you been having the nausea?  I tend to get a really gross, weird, funky tummy right before my period hits...but that shouldn't last longer than a day or two, maybe four on the outside.  Also, sometimes if I go too long between meals, let myself get too hungry, I can get cramps or nausea when I finally do eat.
Glad everyone's feeling better, and yeah...sucks about the hurricane.  Does it ever end?!

  3. I woke up about 0230 hours and had severe stomach cramps and was feeling very nauseous.  We had Hillshire farm smoked sausage, creamed taters, and Italian green beans for supper, so that should not have made me sick.  I made a note to myself to email you today and accuse you of sending me Alex's virus through email, lol.  Actually, it was probably just my IBS.  ::sigh::  If it continues, I think you should see a doctor.

    Blessings!~

  4. Uuuuh? Pregnant???
I used to work on the farm where the Arabian Nights Dinner got their horses from.  I spent a "lovely" day trying to catch 3 2yr olds who had to be shipped to Florida.  Good horses.  They had had no training at that point though (had been on 500,000 acres in Flagstaff AZ answering to no humans for 1 1/2 yrs).  I've always wanted to see that show.

  5. You could just have a bug or you could have an ulcer maybe.  I don't eat too much but I don't like food so I get that nauseous feeling whenever I eat and the food sits there.  I wouldn't go to Florida at all with this hurricane coming, but what do I know?  I live in New England!  LOL!  I cannot wait for all the Halloween scary shows either!  My daughter and I watch "Most Haunted" religiously every Friday night.  Derek is the man!!!  :)
    Hugs and love,

  6. Damn freaking hurricanes. I tell ya....all the more reason to get the hell out of Dodge! LOL....I hope you have fun in Orlando. We have been here three years and still haven't been there! We are going to Universal Studios in November though. The kids are excited. Enjoy your tv viewing....I like the Disney movie "Under Wraps". Too cute. Wee one loves Hocus Pocus. I do too because I think SJP didn't have to act for her part....I can't stand her! LOL....BOO! ;o)

  8. About three years ago when I was "in the money" (in other words I had a job) I rented a three-bedroom cabin in Colorado and Cliff and I treated my daughter's family to 6 days and nights there.  Trouble is, it was the year that Colorado was burning.  We tried to back out, since the fires were in the area of the cabin.  Monica has something akin to asthma.  It all turned out OK, although we could smell the smoke at times.  Monica only had to have a breathing treatment once during our stay.

Anyhow, Mother Nature can sure mess up vacation plans.

  12. Apologies to the men who read this, but it's a fact of life and you'll get over it.  Yes I get that way sometimes before my period. Are you close to getting your cycle?

  13. Are you still feeling nauseous??  I hope you're feeling better.  One thing to think about is your gallbladder.  If it is non-functioning it can make you pretty sick when you eat.  Just a thought.  :)

  15. Hmmmm, "planting my butt in front of the TV" will that make it grow?  (he he)

Wilma screwed up my in-laws trip to Florida also.  They were only going to Sarasota area but didn't want to get caught up in the traffic.

  18. Hi Amy!  Glad you all got away from Wilma.  Us too.  We had the 20-30 mph winds thing going over here.  I am lovin' this cold weather and we made atomic chilli which you can read about in my journal-Lol!  Man I'm jealous!  You got to see the Arabian Nights Dinner?!  We live up here and haven't gone yet.  Something to do when we get bored with life an hour west of Orlando I guess.  Yep, you were soooo close.  We're in Seminole Cty.  Lake Mary area.  Well, gotta run... maybe I can get something done around here- and no, sorry I haven't had the sick to my stomach feeling lately except when I don't eat, or, um way back when I was, ummm, prego.  Hope ya don't have the flu and hope those feelings go away unless maybe yer havin' a surprise delivery in about say 9 months??  Yah, blood sugar.  Probably just blood sugar.  Hugs,
    Lisa
