I *heart* my furbabies

My day....has been a tiring chaotic malosh (what?  What do you mean that word isn't in the dictionary?  pfft.) of doing EVERYTHING.  I felt like the weight of the world was on my shoulders worrying about this, that, and the other.  I held back tears most of the day.  Exhaustion and stress are really not a great combo.

So, I sat down at the computer a few minutes ago to check mail and read a few journals..... and Gordo comes under the desk....lays on top of my feet, looks up at me with his tongue hanging out the side of his mouth in a goofy dog grin, lays his head down and sighs a contented sigh....

.....and I felt all my worries melt away.

I know in a bit, the stress and real life will come back to be dealt with, but for right now...

::Amy sighs a contented sigh, too::

  2. I'm sorry you day was not better. I know about our furbabies! I'm actually waiting for my brother to bring home one of my babies from the vet...Country. He had an abscessed tooth I noticed. They said it was cracked too & he had another abscess on the other side. UGH! My bro. left work at 3:30 & is still not back. We are getting dumped on with snow! Antibiotics for my baby for a while. Even Dusty misses him a bit. I hated leaving him at the vet but I knew it needed to be done.

  6. Do I need to worry about you??  Clinical Depression is my second language.  A goofy dog moment is a quick fix (I know), but the sadness returns.  It's probably season-related....with the shorter days and all.

I'll hang in there if you do.

    Warm hugz,
    Russ

  10. But, did you have your tongue out of the side of your mouth too when you sighed?  LOL!  I love when my dogs come and lay with me on the bed.  They make me feel so much better just having them there.  Even though you KNOW it's all about them!  LOL!
    Hugs and love,

  12. What great timing!  I'm having a pity party!  Wanna come over?  Let's get drunk and wallow in self pity!  OK, maybe not.  We're wives and moms and we just move on.  Oh well, it's ok to DREAM about a pity party....right?

  14. Oh sweetie....learn a lesson from the dog. Take it easy and just grin like a goofball sometimes. The season will be over soon.

  16. My fur babies have already broken two of my victorian ornaments, the little devils.  They have been banished to the bedroom, but they know their Mama still loves 'em. ;-)

    Merry Christmas!~
