Faisons des courses, oui ?

I have become quite enamored lately with.....

ShabbyChic and flea market finds.

Sadly, the only thing I've been decorating is my storage unit.  Heh.....funny, that.  I've got the best looking storage unit in the whole building.

Who wants to go to France with me to find the really good stuff?  I hear they sell wines and brandy as well...free taste tests!

(disclaimer:  I don't speak French so if the title is wrong, blame the online translator.  Although, I plan to learn French....  anyone have any good French movie recommendations?)

  1. Une homme et une femme.  A man and a woman from 1966.   Now that was the best love story that ever came out of France.

  3. Manon des sources (Manon of the spring). It is the sequel to Jean de Florette but is better.
Keep decorating your storage unit. There's a house waiting for you SOON.

  5. My whole house is flea market, as some nasty commenter left on my blog last night--calling my girls Goodwill rejects. I deleted her, of course...

I love flea market and shabby chic. There is a chi in older items that I really like.

  6. Stupid French with all their excellent wine and cheese and cooking and culture and art and correct decisions not to send troops to another Vietnam!!  Damn them!!  Fox "News" Network wants me to hate them so I guess I have to.  But I still love you!

    XOXOXO

  7. I like that look, my own is a hodge podge of everything and anything alot of it is just nature centered. Gem stones, Feathers, candles, animals lol!! I never did understand the perfect house where you could never move anything or touch anything. I think a home represents who you are, and this is what I am. Keep your chin up kiddo there is a home out there for you. Speaking of which my own guy a couple of days ago suggested we look for another one. K, I don't like my current neighborhood, but like you the next house has to be pretty much perfect. So I'm not so sure I want in on this deal just yet. (Hugs) Indigo

P.S. I'm sending you an email later dear one. (Hugs) Indy

  8. Hey, I can be your translator... but LOL after four years of French, three years of Spanish, one year of German, (in highschool), all I can remember is a few key phrases and they all get mixed up together.  I can ask the French waiter where the bathroom is, in Spanish.  And when we get to Germany, all I can remember is Good morning and Good evening and how to count to ten... so I might need a dictionary to help out LOL.  I'm very good at asking for money in Spanish and cigarettes and the bathroom and french fries.  LOL.  And I can ask for a date (rendez-vous) in French if you see a cute guy over there.  LOL.  We could really travel all over Europe and have a great time though.  Let's leave the kids at home and kidnap our hubbies and go.  We'll rent bikes and go along the Seine River to view the castles.  Can all my kids stay with your mom in Texas???  When do we leave???
