"Meh. Whatever." Words to live by, that.
I'm not sure how I feel about the yellow kitchen. Opinions? My tastes run more gypsy, Moroccan, French, traditional.... so, hmm...
I like the kitchen...can it be painted? :o)Lisa
Wow, that is a lovely kitchen...Nice and big... But I think it would look wonderful with a deep red :)~Jenniferhttp://journals.aol.com/perkysgrl/APickleForYourThoughts
You will make it yours, I'm sure. I'm just so happy that you have a house! --Cin
CJ said it looks like someone spewed mustard all over it. I agree. Paint it to your liking. You have GREAT taste! That's our opinion and we are sticking to it. Hee....Love ya,Susan and CJ
P.S. Really nice kitchen though with lots of cabinets. :-)
I think you'd need a bright colour in that kitchen, Amy. Up to you :-))
I guess I'm the only one here going against the grain lol! I like it, it looks warm and cozy. Of course I'm one of those Earth color lovers (winks). Maybe you can use deep red accents to bring it down somewhat if you want. What do I know It's your kitchen , beautifully enough it's YOUR home. That in itself is way cool after this long wait. (Hugs) Indigo
Well I like yellow that is yellow is not the normal yellow I like. BUT If you like moroccan I think it can fit well with maybe a dark brown TRIM Out or deeep red I would say keep it for a while THEN see how you feel after looking at it for a while that is what I would do. I mean withthe wood cabinets I kind of think its not too overpowering.
I cnat see your coutner tops but if they are black I think the problem is in the white TRIM around it think aout antoher color such at the deep dark red. I just think the white next to the yellow is the problem not the yellow. Can you geta better idea of what the counter is in color and style.
wow thats a beautiful kitchen. as for the color Its not my taste but it is a pretty shade.
That looks like the color we painted our master bedroom - it was called Pumpkin Bread at Home Depot! The three dominant colors in my BR are the pumpkin bread along with a deep plum and a rust-red color. I LOVE these three colors together!! If you like the pumpkin bread color, pick up some paint sample strips and see what you might like WITH it. I agree that the white is too stark. That looks like a great kitchen, though!:) Carol
A deep rich red/maroon color would be nore to ny taste. Yellow is wayyyy too traditional for me
That yellow would not be my choice. As for dark colours, the wood looks pretty dark so where the yellow is you need something to lighten it up.http://journals.aol.co.uk/jeanno43/JeannettesJottings/
It's kinda' okay, kinda' Brady-Bunch ish (but wait: weren't their cabinets bright orange?). Maybe you could paint them white? The rest of the kitchen is lovely.
I'm not crazy about the yellow.. but I wonder if that's because of the white trim?? Maybe try changing the trim color and see if that makes it more 'palatable' <g>. But, what a GREAT kitchen! I'm so excited for you getting a new house...
I love your kitchen best part, IT's YOUR KITCHEN!!!! Congrats babe
I think you should go with what YOU like ~ what your skin feels comfortable in and your heart ~ does that make sense? The kitchen is one of the most important rooms in a home...so make it YOUR own, that soothes you, doesn't make you question it. Hugz and Love, Teresahttp://journals.aol.com/stetsonsfyre/remembering-to-exhale/
I'm new to reading you J, but thougth I'd just say congrats n the home. You can now make it whatever color you want. I do like the arrangement of the kitchen though.Lisa
Wow what a wonderful kitchen!!! I would pick a color that you know you are gonna just absolutely love looking at everyday because we women are always forever in the darn kitchen... if we aren't cooking we are cleaning or doing paperwork and bills sometimes in there or other things... or just trying to keep track of things that everyone else keeps trying to move around. LOL. I do like the yellow in this case because it looks gold, but if you don't like it I would change it. I tell ya I can't wait to change mine around a bit. Hugs,Lisa
I have this same color in my bedroom, but I took a plastic bag and rolled on a dark brown glaze and it looked cool! I love the color! Add some deep red accessories and a crazy punch of turquoise (table chairs?) and voila! Perfecto!:)
I'm digging the 'harvest gold'. Dig out your old "Trading Spaces" VHS tapes and get busy!!XOXORuss
I like this color..Actually it's the color I want to paint my bedroom..I'm going more for the Mexican feel...The thing I dislike about painting,,it always seems to look darder or lighter than what you expected....I like the new paint samples you can buy to try out first..THe only problem there, they don't have enough shades to choose from...Oh well...Best wishes on your new home...Sheri
It is all very square and not feminine at allValeriehttp://journals.aol.co.uk/iiimagicxx/surreality/
i could live with the color but not alongside the cabinets...did you choose it? i love paint, it's like a giant eraser!
not my favorite color ...might look better with stuff around it.....Becky
Paint it black, then it wont show any stains:o)
Talk to me, people! Otherwise, I'm just talking to myself....
