Looks Like We Made It

If nobody says "How are you?  How have you been?!"  I won't have to launch into a drama filled story.

::pause::

Okay......okay......now that you're all 'Whaaaaa?  What happened.....?!'

On Thursday, I think, we went to Olive Garden for a very awesome dinner.  On Thursday night, Adrian and I were throwing up and having diarrhea like you all would not believe.  It was so bad that I had to wake Jesse up every time I got up to....um....expel (one way, the other way, sometimes both ways).....because I would almost faint and I needed to lean on him so I didn't fall off the damn toilet.  (sorry about barfing on your foot, honey.)  By the end of Friday, Jesse got a little diarrhea, but nothing as horrific as Adrian and I.  We just laid in the bed next to each other holding hands for comfort....my poor boy and I.

Luckily, the food poisoning was short lived because I had to put on my party face for New Years.  We had faux-pagne and our 12 grapes and ran around hugging everybody we could.

I'm patting myself on the back because I did all that while I had RUN OUT OF MY LEXAPRO.  ::cries::  Also?  I started my period (with a vengeance).  And cut my tongue.  I don't know how I did that, but it hurts.

With allllll that mess going on.....celebrating here...with all of our family....is way better than all the years we spent alone in Florida...

and so starts 2008.

  6. I'm so sorry Amy :( That totally sucked... but I know how you feel about Florida LOL - think I'd prefer food poisoning to that place anyday.  Will keep that about Olive Garden in mind also!! Cindy has had food poisoning a few times in her life and once she almost died because her blood pressure plummeted extremely low and they couldn't get it back up!!  Thank goodness you didn't have that happen.  ((((((Amy)))))))) Happy New Years my friend  :)  Hugz, Teresa

  7. Now that's what I call having your cup half FULL! Sounds like you have found your "home" at last...until you move to England, of course :-)

  10. You know. It could have been a conspiracy. The server at OG MADE you get sick just to hack into your various accounts and post things of a <ahem> adult nature in your name.

    Glad you are feeling better.

  11. Amy, what a rough time you've had...poor thing!

Sounds a little like my holidays, minus the food poisoning.  I kept the Prozac coming, but it didn't help much--Sunshine had surgery on her butt, twice, and you how hard it is trying to do anything with that beast.  I believe it all may have been nearly as horrendous as your bathroom adventures, but not quite.

Suffice to say I would had a nervous breakdown if I hadn't gotten the hell out of town when I did. In fact, I may have been in the early stages already, but thankfully my good old Mom got me all fixed up.

    Happy New Year...hugs and kisses!

    p.s. I know, I should update my blog...some day I will...

  12. Oh gf, I've been there done that and have the t-shirt to prove it.  A long time ago I got food poisoned from shrimp scampi.  It wasn't pretty.

I am glad everyone is feeling better.  Did you get your Lexapro? I hope so because the side affects from not taking it isn't bad but when I used to take it I got dizzy. ::shrugs::

    Happy New Year!

  14. oooh, poor you and poor Adrian!  We almost went there for dinner one night.  Glad we didn't.  Makes me not want to eat out anymore.  I have read some horror stories lately about food poisoning.  Hope you notified the health dept.  Aunt Flo only visits me once every four months now.  Hope I will soon be post and be done with that FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We spent New Year's Eve moving STILL and we are still not done.  Donnie and I fixed a great dinner and Brandon came and ate with us.  We sat in front of the Tube watching the parades, the Monk marathon, HGTV, some football, and other stuff.  I chose that day to rest.  It was nice.  It is a southern tradition to fix black-eyed peas for good luck and turnip greens for prosperity on New Years Day(we put ham bits in the turnips and the ham bone in the peas for flavoring).  I also made potato salad and Don did some barbequed pork chops.  I made cornbread.  Don and I love to mix mayo, the peas, and cornbread all together.  It was all soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good!~

Glad Adrian and you are okay.  I hope you are both over that now.  I have been there and I know from experience, it ain't no picnic!!!!!!!!!!!~

    Happy New Year!~

I thought maybe it was the pizza I ate yesterday.
It was called a "Sloppy Guiseppe".
    Really!
It sounds like a slang phrase for something else doesnt it

  17. Dang I always loved Olive Garden but I hope you find out what caused it so I can avoid that particular meal.... hope you are feeling way better and no more cuts on tongue... no I'm not gonna ask how LOL and hope the Lexapro refill is full and all is well.  Yes, being here in the north with options of family to visit is way better than in FL with no family at all!! I so can relate.  Who'd have thought we both ditch FL in the same year. LOL.  Cheers to 2008!!  Hugs,
    Lisa
