and the survey says...

This is going to be one of those entries with pictures from the 'Random Crap' folder.  Haa....yes, that's what it's labeled.  BUT.....I really want y'alls input because I am all 'derrr' and I can't make up my mind.

The question is..........

Should I cut my hair?

Right now, it's long and I just put it up in a bun every day.  It's a thorn in my hide.

True, on the days when i actually go out somewhere decent, I curl it and stuff and it looks all purrrrrrty, but eesh.  Do I really want to put that much freaking work into it every day to pass myself off as 'presentable'?  I don't know.

Anyway, here's me now:

Ignore my deranged smile.  That smile is a 'take the damn picture!' smile.

and here what I'm thinking of getting....

or

Now, I realize these two women are skinnier than me, but let's bypass that fact, because at some point, I'll get sick of being chubby and go on a diet.

So. Opinions?

I've always been more Sharon Osbourne than Cindy Crawford (hahahahaha) so, hmm....

  1. I hate spending a lot of time on my hair and got it cut really short about eighteen months ago...it was the best thing I ever did!  No more standing in front of the mirror for hours on end (ok, I lie but it SEEMED like hours!) and it made me feel so liberated!  I could always grow it again if I want to but I'm so happy with it 'll probably keep it short now. You've got the shape of face that could take a shorter cut I'm sure. ~~ Pat   http://journals.aol.co.uk/pm71blackfen/ramblings-from-pat/

  2. I like both cuts. If you want to go short, I say go for it.

I was like that about a month ago. I like my hair long, so that I can put it up and it's out of my face and neck. Also, I am way to lazy for shortness.

Ummm, there was something else, but I have forgotten.

    XOXO

  3. I know how you feel, I have long hair too. I always say I'm going to cut it but never do (I'm a big chicken about some things -- like hair cuts!). I say go for the Sharon Osbourne look! Martha

  4. Seems we are going in oppisite directions (winks)...(thbpt)...I had my hair pixie, short, short for over 2 years. Now I'm growing it out again, Paul said he missed it longer. Me? I just had to buy a headband to keep it out of my eyes, I'll give it a try for a while. I think either of the hairstyles would work for you. It depends on how wild you want to go. The top one is inbetween, and the bottom is definitely Sharon Osborne. Can't wait to see what you decide. (Hugs)Indigo

  6. Oh, cool!  You'd look great with short hair!  I sometimes wish that I had my long hair back, but not very often.  I can get ready quickly, and I was told something years ago that I have seen to be true all too often.  The heavier you are, the less you can pull off the long hair look.  I am WAY heavy, so I keep it short.  Just something a wise old (fat) hairdresser told me.  Also, you are no where NEAR as heavy as me, so you could do either.  Trust me.

  7. As your Avon rep I have to advise you that you will look absolutely beautiful no matter which haircut you decide upon.... love the laser eyes!!!!

  8. Most men love long hair, and women usually opt for the shorter stylish cuts.  My hair is still long, too, but I've been toying with the idea of cutting it just a little, nothing drastic.  However, always remember, if you don't like it, it'll grow back.... LOL!!!  I think both those styles are nice, but they are still work, don't think that they aren't.... I think you'd look beautiful with either one, but I really like the first one.

  9. I love the first one and I think bangs would look great on you.

  10. I say to go for whatever you want to do! If you don't like it short, you can grow it back out. I have to admit I've had my hair the same for longer than I'd like to count...long with bangs. In the winter, I wear it down and it keeps my neck warm, and in the summer, I can wear it up and get it completely off my neck.

It is really low maintenance, and that's all I want.

We'll all look forward to seeing the pictures! (And I'm cracking up at the previous comments about your laser eyes!)

  11. You have to do whatever it is you are comfortable with and you can live with Amy!  I happen to think you are a beautiful woman anyways, and your hair, short or long won't change that fact!  I think you'll be gorgeous no matter what!

  12. You have kind of a long forehead like me...so I'd go for the first one with the bangs -- I think you'd look really cute with some bangs and layers. In order to pull off that Sharon Osbourne look, it would take a bunch of gel to make your hair stand up like that, I'd guess. If you have a good hairdresser that can pull that first cut off for you, it looks like it would be easier to just wash and wear.

But either one....with your pretty face....would look great!!

Good luck, and don't worry, it will start growing back the minute he/she lays down the scissors, just in case you don't like it.

  13. I'm going to be brutally honest.... What the hell were you thinking when you picked up the picture of that second hair cut?????  (I don't like it! LOL)

The first one is cute.  And I can picture it on you.  It will however require work EVERY day if you want it to look like that.

The real question is... when you are done working on your hair... will you like the way it looks when it is long, or when it is short.

I had short hair all my life.  HATED it.  Always found long hair so much easier cuz you can just put it up when you are having a bad hair day. When it is short, you either nned to wash it again or invest in hats.

Good  luck!  Let us know what you decide!

    You are the decider!!!!  :::wink:::

  14. As someone who had very short hair for many years,  mine is finally long. I'd start off slow before just going all gusto. My hairstyle changes every other mood swing...but I do think having it longer is easier. When it is short, you can't pull it back in a ponytail if you're having a bad hair day.

  15. I think you are lovely no matter what Amy... but, from someone who went from having waist length hair a few years ago then getting a wild hair and cutting it SHORT... let me just say I regretted getting it cut short, then I had to do something with it EVERY time in I went anywhere to make it look "right".  I've let it grow back out now and when i want to I fix it up, I fix it up...when I don't I put it up in a bun or a ponytail... but, the decision is yours and since we both live in Texas I know the weather  you are talking about dealing with LOLOL.  But, like I said, the choice is yours and I will love you no matter what!!  Blessings and Hugz** Teresa

  16. You're pretty enough you could be bald and look good.  Go to my MySpace.  Click on my friends, find Allison's display pic, (Carrie's best friend).  Her display name is Sweet 16, as she just turned 16 on August 17th.  She just got her hair cut and it looks really nice.  It is still kinda longish, but shaped around her face.  I got mine really wacked off and I could barely put it in a pony tail anymore when I first got it cut.  I like having the option of wearing it up or down, but hey!  It's your hair!~

    Love ya!~
