Nothing can ever be easy....

Okay, so I've been a little MIA.  I've been waiting to see how the transfer was going to go.

Sadly, it isn't going well for me.

I have a google account - and I've logged into it to view my friends blogs.

However, when I go to click the link and log in to transfer my own blog, it tells me my email doesn't exist.

What the crap?  Really?  I'M LOGGED IN, FOR PITY'S SAKE!

Aurgh....

So, I've emailed the journals editor to see what up, but....Meh.

  2. I transferred all my journals except forMy Picture Postcard Journal.  I had minor trouble with my Country Living Southern Style journal, but I just deleted everything and started the process over.  It went like clockwork.  I have been getting the alerts for people and their problems.  Wetdog4 gave this advice:  Finally got it to transfer..I went to my Hometown Journal, copied the
exact Url from the page onto paper..then went to IE and deleted all
cookies. Then signed back on to the Email that gave the link to start
transfer, signed in, continued to next page, typed in exact url and
bingo..finally transferred, even the pictures came though.

    Try it!  I miss ya!~

    Love,

    Suse

  3. I had a few problems logging in the first time. In fact it took ages to finally get logged in. Stupid thing.
I sorted it though. Dunno how.

I just had to stop and go sort out a pan of rice boiling away on the stove.
Erm...not that I have anything else to say though so I dont know why I am still typing.
    :o)

  4. As for the logging in, check and see if cookies are enabled on your computer. If they're not Blogger tends to throw a fit and give you all sorts of problems. Other than that I have no idea. I didn't do the migration I have mine journal sitting on multiple files safe in my Documents. I wasn't taking ANY chances. I hope your able to get it sorted out ok hon. (Hugs) Indigo

  5. Are you using the AOL email address you use to access your journal or a Gmail from google? It definitely has to be your AOL email - if you're doing that already then I'm lost. Be sure to let us know where you'll be once you get it figured out!

  7. Hi Amy,
Hmmm ... I was expecting a tricky migration, too, but in my case it turned out to be kind of easy.  I'm sure the Journals editor should be able to help you but if not, feel free to e-mail me ... I'm no expert, either, but since it worked for me maybe I can help?  I'm really starting to enjoy Blogger.com ... there's a lot I like about it now that I'm starting to get settled in.  Good luck and please keep us posted!
    Best,
    Marty

  9. hi hon ~ I had the same problem initially when I tried to transfer my old journal...what you need is a separate google acct. as well as your AOL acct.  the first one asks for you google email (gmail) and the second your AOL one... try creating a google email, then do like I suggested.  See if that works :)  Let me know if it doesn't go 'k?  see if I can help you figure it out (as well as your other readers LOL) Blessings and Hugz* Teresa
