Boys

motherofeverythingholymyboysaredrivingmeinsane.

Lord, give me patience.

I mean, I am usually a VERY patient person. I'm good with kids.....and a pretty decent mother. I will sit there and smile, nod, and pretend to be interested in whatever the boys have to say.

BUT.....

the last two days have seen me like this:

Their room is a mess. They keep annoying each other, poking each other, following each other around............and then yelling "Moooooooooom!!"

Last night, I laid down in bed. Jesse laid down next to me. I looked at him and said "[profanity]". He laughed and said "Take your Ambien and in 20 minutes, all will be right with the world."

  1. I know it probably doesn't seem funny to you right now, but you sure made me chuckle. I love the bored look in the picture.

I hope the Ambien helped. :)

  3. Lord, girl, do I know how you feel. I thought I was going to have to kill someone by the end of christmas break. Arghhh.

  4. Another thing, a question: Do your boys get in huge fights, tell each other to go away, and THEN when one leaves, the other HAS TO FOLLOW to continue the fight?

My girls do that. Why do they follow? WHY? WHYYYYYYYYYY??? Just. leave. it. alone. Is that so hard? Gyahhhh.

  6. Hi Amy,
I'd like to say it's all part of growing up but ... "Mooooom"?!? Seriously?!? I guess that's a new one. They sure as hell didn't have "Moooom" when I grew up.
    Best,
    Marty

  7. The girls do the same thing, when they're together. If one leaves to stay at a friend's house, the other follows me around telling me stories. Long, endless, boring stories.

    SAVE ME!

  8. Know what? One day they will be all grown up and gone and your house will be empty and quiet and the rooms will be all hollow and your hands will be empty and you will be wishing they were all back home and driving you up the wall again. I know, coz it happened to me. ((((hugs))) Cherish these days, they pass far too quickly . . .

  9. Yes, dreamland tends to help us forget about the daily stress. I have days like this that's for sure. Just hearing their voices yell "MOM!" sometimes makes me cringe and want to run and hide. Wish I lived closer, we could escape together.

  11. "...and the next day when you wake up you'll think, 'Hey, I'll clean the bathroom," and poof you'll be ticked off at the boys again."

    What? That's just me?
