What Are Ya Gonna Do....

.....but get up every day and hope for the best.

So.  No, I haven't blogged much at all lately.  Eh.  Life gets in the way....

My mom.....eesh...my mom.

Let's go down the list.....lung cancer, colon cancer, bone cancer, heart failure, respiratory distress (and a trach tube), and about 12 wires or tubes coming out of her for various things.  She's been transferred to about 6 floors so far.....well, ICU twice, but whatever.

Why?  Because she never went to the doctor, smoked for 40some years, and never took care of herself.

So....that leaves me (me.  *sigh*) to tell my 18 year old brother and 21 year old sister something they hoped they would never have to hear......that their (my) mom has incurable cancer.

All I can do is keep chugging along, I suppose.  Who wants to trade lives with me today?

  6. Well my friend and angel.. I am so sorry to hear of your Moms poor health. How worrying and stressful for you all. You have to be strong in front of your brother and sister but let it all out when you can find some quiet corner to cry in. It doesn't do any good keeping it all in. Praying for all of your comfort. Especially your Moms.
    Much love and (((hugs)))

  9. Aw, honey... I'm so sorry. You sister and brother are so young, too. What'll happen to them?

Hugs and a suggestion of liberal use of baths and wine for the coming time is all I've got.

  13. Amy, I can only restate what I said on Facebook. My sincere condolences, and I hope the knowledge that your mom is now beyond pain will in some measure alleviate your pain.
