The Birds

Yes, just like the movie.  Those birds in my back yard have been incessantly squawking and flapping at the dogs.  (One of them got Sancho in the hiney.  I thought it was hilarious.  He, however, did not.)

What kind of bird is this?!  I've been setting out some cracked corn and apple chunks, which they've liked, but it'd be nice to find out what else they prefer...

  4. Mockingbird, I think. And yes, they are terretorial! Our porch cat, who isn't a birder, bears the brunt of their wrath every year! Enjoy them!

Sonya - what in the world....I'd be running to work shrieking every day with those birds flapping like maniacs towards me!

  7. What Sonya says is true! They love to divebomb if you get too close to their nest. I have a friend who is deathly afraid of birds in general because of early childhood abuse by the mockingbird! LOL
